Good morning, my busy little bee!

On a hunch, given the little flurry of activity yesterday what with the pulling up on the crib, the crawling, the mastering of her fisher-price house, and everything in between, I left the camera in Baby Girl's room so it would be handy when I went to get her in the morning and found her, oh, say, sitting up, crawling, or standing in her crib for the first time.

And sure enough, when I went in this morning, I got all of the above and then some. Call it mother's intuition :-)

But the coup de grce was when, after sitting, crawling, and finally standing up completely on her own in her crib she reached her little hand out and finally, finally, after 9 months of watching and waiting and planning and practicing and learning and reaching, finally she snagged herself one of her mobile critters.

Victory at last, was what the expression on her face said!

The mobile was promptly removed and put away, never to be seen again, but not before I cut off the little animals and gave them to her as a reward. She earned them! And I left the music box part on so she can reach for it and press the buttons to turn it on and off herself.
