The colour of cute
The teacher note on yesterday's daily school report for Bobbin said:
"She enjoyed coloring today, she took the crayons out from the box and put them back in the box. That's so cute!"
That's our girl :-).
Today when we arrived at school, her friend Christopher and his Mommy pulled up next to us in the parking lot. They got out of the car at the same time we did, and when Bobbin and Christopher saw each other they got all grinny and smiley and made a beeline for each other and started chatting.
Christopher led the way into school and Bobbin followed closely behind (usually she likes to dawdle, but this morning she was right behind Christopher and didn't stray from the path). When they got into the classroom Christopher turned around, big smile on his face, and came over to Bobbin and then gently leaned in and rested his head against hers as if to hug her. Bobbin smiled her brightest smile and then they stood there kind reaching out to one another and talking and smiling. And then they were off, running side by side towards the little table where the teacher was doling out breakfast :-).
Friends and food. It's what life is all about! Oh. And colouring :-)
