It's beginning to look a lot like East Coast Canada

It's been snowing non stop for days. We're at about 14" of snow accumulated at this point and it is still coming down. It's been coming down since late wednesday night. Non stop.

As much as I love the snow, and I do love the snow, I'm getting a little tired of being snowbound at the house. I'm going a little stir crazy. With emphasis on "crazy".

I've cleaned our entire kitchen, laundry room, dining room, TV room, and living room from top to bottom. Dusted every surface, washed every window. Vacuumed every inch of carpet. Washed every inch of flooring. Polished every wood surface. I've done all of my laundry. I've reorganized my closet. I've reorganized all of our utility drawers. I've even done 2 loads of Tim's laundry. I've decorated the new guest room, which included ironing the curtains. All of them.

Bobbin and I have watched Polar Express end to end 4 times. We've played in the snow outside 3 times. We've fed the deer. We made a Gingerbread house. We've eaten grilled cheese sandwiches shaped like hearts and flowers. She even helped me vacuum and wash the floors and organize drawers and tidy the guest room voluntarily. She put her own laundry away without being asked!

You see what I'm saying? It's madness. MADNESS around here. It's not right. STOP THE MADNESS!

Anyhoo... our friend Dave took some beautiful photos of the snow over the last few days. If you like them, be sure to let him know. Keep in mind he lives on the West side. They've got it easy by comparison. When looking at these pictures, add about 12 more inches of white stuff to what's in the photo and you'll have the view in our neck of the woods.

Oh... and it's bone chilling cold to boot.

On the plus side: We haven't lost our power. Yet. Of course, now that I've posted we're sure to go dark. But HEY... BRING IT ON. BECAUSE WE'RE ALREADY MAD OUT HERE!

My parents arrive tomorrow.

Um, I think your memories of the east coast have been miniaturized. The snow bank at the end of our driveway now stands at ~5'. Dexter has developed a new sport on our front lawn - snow swimming. He literally wades off the front porch and then doggie paddles around until he finds a nice deep drift to pee in. It's pretty funny to see.
Do you guys have a toboggan? You could load up the car and take Bobbin for a pull along the trails or something.
