Last week's harvest
Of cucumbers got turned into pickles, and the peck of peppers picked
is waiting patiently in the fridge to be made into hot sauce

I'm not kidding you. This is what the garden yielded today.
And there's still more of the same out there. Plus 20lb watermelons
and a bunch of corn that are all not yet ready.
It's good to know we could live off our land if we need to!
Now we just need a cow and some chickens :-)
That is very impressive and inspiring. Jackie can hook you up if you are serious about chickens (which you guys have plenty of space for).
Now you need to build a root cellar to preserve the wonderful bounty to get you through the winter. I have a food dehydrator you are welcome to borrow if you want to try preserving some of the harvest by drying it.

It's a good year for watermelons! This one actually ended up not being
ripe yet. But there are several more still on the vine in the garden!
So stay tuned...
